Dear Sarah, I would like to tell you how much I enjoy your stories in the Report. Much of what you are writing about, I have memories of also. I attended the very first Celebration in 1939 and have only missed a few. I was unable to attend while I was in the Army and was in Korea, 1950-51 and 1952. And I was unable to attend while I was in medical school. I first showed in 1965 or 1966 and have showed in almost every one since then. In fact, I showed this year and placed eighth in the 70 and older class. I intend to show as long as I am able to ride. Sincerely, John D. Lay, M.D.
