Claud “Bunk” Launius passed away June 15, 2009, at his home in Malden, Missouri.  Mr. Launius was 86 years old.  He was a retired farmer and member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Malden, MO.  Bunk is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Rhoda, and two sisters.

Bunk enjoyed owning and showing Tennessee Walking horses to include Delight’s Sundance, when Sundance captured the World Grand Champion 15.2 & Under stallion title at the Celebration.  After his retirement, in addition to enjoying the horse shows, Bunk and Rhoda purchased an Airstream travel coach and began to travel.  Their travels included 49 states in the United States and Canada.
