Want to play golf during horse show?

Eight spots are available on the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration’s 5th annual golf tournament, which kicks off at 9 a.m. Sunday Aug. 27.
The day starts off with breakfast, followed by the shotgun start at 9 a.m. at River Bend Country Club. Lunch and beverages are included in the tournament price, which is $80. Three flights of winners as well as awards for the following will be awarded: Closest to the pin, straightest drive, and largest drive.

The industry’s lawsuit against the USDA’s final rulemaking has cleared its final hurdles with the deadlines for the USDA to appeal the decision or anyone other party’s attempt to intervene and appeal passed.
