Neal Wright, father of walking horse trainers Michael and Casey Wright, passed away from cancer late Monday evening. He has been battling the illness for several years. Neal was the principal at South Side Elementary School in Regan, Tenn. He could often be found at shows across the West Tennessee circuit cheering on both his boys and their customers. In 2011, Neal directed High Society Woman to a victory at the Alabama Jubilee in the Amateur 50 & Over class.

Visitation is tonight (Tuesday) at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington, Tenn., from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at South Side Elementary at 2:00 p.m.
