Obituary – Rachel Benedict

Rachel Emerson Benedict, 96 of Etoile, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Warren County, March 28, 1924 to the late William J. Emerson and Elva Grinstead Emerson. Rachel was a homemaker and longtime member of the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Etoile, KY.
Survivors include her great nephew and niece, Spencer Benedict (Carrie) and Jane Layton Benedict of Glasgow; great great nephew and niece, Austin Benedict (Heatherly) and Maren Benedict; niece Karen Benedict; all her special friends of the Etoile community.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rush Benedict; and nephew, Carroll Benedict.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm Thursday, July 16th at the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00am until time for the service at the church.

William Leon Elliott, age 84, of Tuscumbia AL, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at his residence. Leon was born April 27, 1940, in Spruce Pine, AL to Julian and Cleo Elliott. He worked his whole life at Muscle Shoals Mack Truck Center as a diesel mechanic.
