The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association (WHTA) has announced major changes to its National Trainers’ Show in 2015. The show will move from its traditional March date to April 2-4, 2015 in Decatur, Alabama. In addition to the move from Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, Tenn., the National Trainers’ Show will replace Benny Johnson as show manager with Billy Morgan.
As part of the three-day show, some Racking Horse classes will be offered in addition to the full complement of Tennessee Walking Horse classes. A complete class schedule will be forthcoming prior to the show. Also, on Saturday a horse sale will be held with the proceeds benefitting the WHTA. The sale will be managed by Kenny Lawrence.
The National Trainers’ Show is the primary fundraising initiative of the WHTA and provides the bulk of the funding used to operate the association. For more information contact the WHTA at
