Due to unforeseen circumstances with the previously announced judge, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) has named new judges for next week’s World Versatility Championship.

Justin Miller will officiate all classes except equitation and dressage. The equitation classes will be judged by Rob Byers and Katharina Nowotny-Boles will judge dressage. This will mark Miller’s second time to judge the World Versatility Championship. He’s a familiar judge at many of the premier flat shod shows, including the 2023 International Grand Championships and 2024 Pennyroyal Charity Horse Show. Byers is one of the most respected USEF equitation judges in the nation having judged equitation at the World’s Championship Horse Show, Morgan Grand Nationals, and UPHA American Royal. Also a USEF “large R” judge, Nowotny-Boles is licensed in Western Dressage and has judged the World Versatility Championship and International Grand Championships several times in the past.

“We hate changing judges this close to a show, but we couldn’t ask for a better group of professionals than what we’ve been able to assemble,” says Lyn Montgomery, TWHBEA vice-president for trail and versatility.
